Cairo Wednesday March 13

After arrival in the land of ancient times we transfer to our hotel. The balance of the is free to explore the exciting Egyptian capital.

Day 3
Cairo Thursday March 14

Morning sightseeing includes the Egyptian Museum housing the greatest collection of antiquities from the Ancient Egyptian times, including the treasures from King Tutankhamon’s tomb. In the afternoon we tour Islamic Cairo and visit the Citadel of Salah Eldin, the Alabaster Mosque and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Dinner at our hotel tonight.

Day 4
Cairo Friday March 15

This morning you will visit Egypt's first capital Memphis, and its Necropolis in Sakkara, The Pyramid of Unas. The Serapeum and Zoser's Step Pyramid. Afternoon visit to The Great Pyramids of Giza, Cheops, Kephren and Mycerinus, followed by a visit to the Solar Boat Museum, Valley Temple and The Sphinx. Lunch will be served during the day. Dinner at our hotel tonight.

Day 5
Cairo / Luxor Saturday March 16

Start the day by visiting the Museum of Islamic Art. Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the El Moalaqa or Hanging Church. Then, you will visit Ben Ezra Ben Ezra Synagogue. The temple contains a Jewish Heritage Library. End the day by visiting the Coptic Museum. Drive to airport for your flight to Luxor. Arrive and transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
LOUXOR / ESNA / EL HEGZ Sunday March 17

7:30am - Departure from the hotel to visit the temple of Karnak: the god Amon reigned supreme over the Egyptian pantheon for nearly 2000 years. Each sovereign wanted to build, in Karnak, his own building to the glory of God. The result? A proliferation of elements of different eras, a fabulous page of history ... Road to Esna, port of our sailboats. Welcome aboard! Welcome by the crew, visit the boat - installation in your cabin then, quiet navigation to the rhythm of the wind. You start to relax. Your stopover for the night is El Hegz.

Day 7
EDFOU / FAWAZA Monday March 18

This morning, sail to El Kab. Surrounded by an enclosure, made of mud brick, erected during the periods 747-332 BC, the city was founded from the Neolithic era. Walk among the rock tombs dug on the mountainside. Savor, it's very beautiful. Resumption of navigation and lunch on board. Berthing at Edfu for a visit to the temple dedicated to the god Horus de Behedet, symbolized by a solar disc with falcon wings. It is one of the largest temples (height 26m, length 137m and width 79m) and best preserved in Egypt. Continuation of your navigation. Night in Fawaza.

Day 8
FAWAZA / DJEBEL SILSILEH Tuesday March 19

Morning of navigation - beautiful walk in Ramadi around the marsh and in cultures to meet peasants working in their fields of alfalfa, sugar cane or date palms ... Back on board then after lunch or at the end of the day stroll in the charming and very welcoming village of Bassaw. Overnight at Bassaw or at the foot of the Horemheb speos (depending on the mooring possibilities of the moment ...).

Day 9
DJEBEL SILSILEH / MANIHA Wednesday March 20

After breakfast, you will discover the jebel Silsileh quarries used to build the main temples of Egypt. Very short navigation and walk of about 2 hours to Farès in the palm groves - a wide variety of fruit trees and plants will be found on your way (palm doum - date palms - caliotropis etc ..... Back on board then lunch as the boat sails smoothly to Maniha your evening stopover.

Day 10
MANIHA / KOM OMBO / ASWAN Thursday March 21

Morning navigation to Kom-Ombo, which, on its promontory overlooking the Nile, is admirably romantic. Dedicated to two deities, Sobek the crocodile and Horus the falcon, the temple has a perfectly symmetrical architecture. Take the time to admire so much beauty! Change of scenery guaranteed to the village of Daraw, certainly one of the highlights of the trip. You will wander in the jumble of the popular market where colors, perfumes of East and Africa mixed are so many symphonies for the eyes and the nostrils! Back on board for lunch and sailing along the Nubian shores to Aswan. Last night aboard a few kilometers north of Aswan. Typical evening on the banks of the Nile with your crew that you leave tomorrow.

Day 11
ASWAN / Cairo Friday March 22

Breakfast. Disembarkation around 8am / 8.30am to go by vehicle to the temple of Philae dedicated to Isis, located on an island 5km south of Aswan. Its bas-reliefs, frescoes and capitals make it one of the most beautiful sanctuaries in Egypt. Great moments of emotion!

Cairo / USA Saturday March 23
